Gunnar Aagaard Andersen is one of the most creative and innovative Danish designer of the 20th century. Aagaard Andersen is born on July 14th, 1919 in Ordrup, a village in the community of Gentofte, north of Copenhagen, and dies on June 29th, 1982, also in Denmark, more precisely in the coastal town of Munkerup. Designating Gunnar Aagaard Andersen alone as a designer would not do justice to his complex, creative personality. Rather, he is an artist, painter, writer and sculptor who experiments with non-pictorial forms and expressions throughout his life. As co-founder of the movement Lines II, Aagaard Andersen focuses on symbolism and abstraction. His works belong to the art direction Concrete Art. [ more soon ]
