PH Louvre pendant light

The furnishing experts at TAGWERCDesign STORE recommend the PH Louvre pendant light as a highlight because of its unique conception and shapely body: in high and low rooms, in old or new buildings, in the foyer, a gallery, above a table and even as basic lighting in small rooms or corridors. 13 horizontally arranged lamellas form the luminous body, completely concealing the light source, which is centered in the heart of the PH Louvre pendant luminaire. In this way, the pendant lamp PH Louvre delivers an absolutely glare-free, indirect light.

The PH Louvre is not only functional but also very decorative. Due to the special bends and arrangement of the individual lamellas, part of the light is directed upwards towards the ceiling and to the sides. However, most of the radiance is directed and reflected downwards. The ingenious lighting concept, conceived by Pouls Henningsen in 1957, means that the PH Louvre pendant light not only provides light, but at the same time illuminates itself. Thus, the pendant lamp PH Louvre by Louis Poulsen creates an impressive and unique eye-catcher.

Poul Henningsen developed the pendant lamp PH Louvre for the Adventist Church in Skodsborg, a coastal town north of Copenhagen, which was known for its sanatorium, which today houses the spa hotel Skodsborg. The ingenious considerations of the designer Poul Henningsen in the construction of the PH Louvre pendant lamp based on mathematical calculations make the luminaire undoubtedly a design classic that easily follows the technical developments in the lighting sector. For example, the PH Louvre pendant luminaire is equipped with an LED illuminant and is therefore energy-saving. In the TAGWERC Design STORE you get the pendant lamp PH Louvre as licensed original.
