TOPAN VP6

by Verner Panton, 1959

The Topan VP6 pendant lamp by &tradition, the disco-ball of designer Verner Panton, dates from the year in which the first nightclubs opened. At the same time Topan VP6 was the first lamp by Verner Panton produced in series. In 1959 Panton installed Topan VP6 suspension lamps at the Hotel Astoria in Trondheim / Norway for the first time. The basic form of an aluminum globe with a diameter of 21 cm, brushed or painted, is open downwards. In this way the light is focused and exits as a cone.

For an individually appropriate height Topan VP6 is supplied with a three meter long fabric cable, which matches the colour of the globe.
