In the same year, in which Verner Panton sketched the pattern Geometri, he lined out two objects with it. He formed the showroom for the textile company Unika Vaev in New York / USA completely in black- and-white. Geometri in red–orange dominated the ambitious interior design in the Hotel Restaurant Astoria in Trondheim / Norway. While Verner Panton sketched Geometri already in 1960, the general public discovered this form of decoration not until end of the 1960s. This makes it clear, what Verner Panton was: a mentor and pioneer of the big epoch of Pop Art Design.
Geometric patterns, brought onto home textiles, were a major issue in the 1960s and are now back up to date. To date, the pattern Geometri as carpet or upholstery and curtain fabric by Maharam. All still available versions of the fabric decor Geometri are available as originals at design interior specialist TAGWERC. One of the most well- known pattern of Mid Century Art Epoch sets an elegant accent in your home: irrespective of whether as curtain, carpet or holistic Geometri-room experience – like Verner Panton himself used the pattern during his lifetime.
