Little Petra sofa sheepskin
Architect and designer Viggo Boesen first introduced the Little Petra seating in 1938 as part of the exhibition `Copenhagen Cabinetmakers Guild Exhibition`. This was followed by other international exhibitions and prizes, although only 30 pieces of the Little Petra chair were manufactured while only two pieces of the sofa are said to have been produced. The Little Petra lunge seating convinces in a compact size with a special shape. Like a kind of negative mold, the backrest of the Little Petra lounge armchair recreates the anatomical silhouette of the sitter. Thanks to this embeddedness, the lounge sofa Little Petra VB2 in the colour Moonlight feels particularly cozy and comfortable and playfully outshines large, voluminous sofas.

The Little Petra VB2 sofa is named after Boesens mother-in-law and the fact that this cocktail couch with a total height of just 75 centimeters seems to be relatively small. Nevertheless, Little Petra does not compromise on comfort and not only proves to be particularly comfortable but also extremely versatile in the choice of seating position.
The Little Petra VB2 sofa is particularly suitable for small apartments, lofts with open spaces and areas where a small and comfortable couch is sought. Little Petra VB2 is a couch with special advantages. Besides the manual processing of natural materials, Little Petra VB2 impresses above all with its excellent comfort and handy size. With a length of 150 centimeters and a depth of 80 centimeters, the Little Petra VB2 sofa weighs just 35 kilograms. A lightweight for a couch and easy to move even by one person.
Deep on the floor, open and ‘hugging’, Little Petra VB2 in Moonlight white colour embodies the essence of a lounge sofa, allowing for all kinds of seating in every conceivable environment: lobby, lounge, living room, club, maid, nursery, bedroom, hallway, office. “A lot of work has been done to ensure maximum comfort, from the seat to the upholstery,” emphasizes the manufacturer in 2018, when Little Petra lounge chair was reborn. In 2020 the Little Petra VB2 sofa was launched in the natural material sheepskin, either in this noble Moonlight white color as well as in a warm Sahara brown tone, and in the fabric Karakoram. The use of natural materials has also been emphasized: the legs of the chair are made of oak or walnut and are reminiscent of Viggo Boesens love for natural materials.
Especially the version with sheepskin, here in Moonlight white, supports this idea and is characterized by special features. For one thing, real sheepskin is particularly sturdy and hard-wearing. With his designs and design works in the style of 'Danish Golden Age' and using natural materials, the native Dane is experiencing a renaissance because of his sustainable approach. The designer and architect gained an award for his Little Petra design, which was reissued by &tadition in 2018.
